I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

I completely agree with this! I can't believe it's not automatically capitalizing i when its standing alone. Its a pain in the butt. I originally tried using the new app a few months ago and it was missing a lot of features. I recently tried it again, after being told that they've made improvements, however, this is a HUGE miss. How does Microsoft not see this?

This is not auto capitalization. This does not capitalize the first word of each sentence, like old outlook did, nor does it capitalize the letter "I" as a stand-alone.

If auto-capitalisation of a sentence is still a problem for you in the new Outlook:

    you can:

    1. expand the ribbon to a classic ribbon
    2. Click on Editor and select Editor Settings
    3. Enable Auto-Capitalisation

    Test. it should work now.

This seems outrageous that you upgrade a product like outlook and then you don't include basic features like auto capitalisation of the letter i for example. If you go to all the trouble and cost to develop a new product how can you expect adopotion by users if you're leaving out basic features everyone uses daily. it doesn't make sense.
