I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

This isn't a fuction, it is basic grammar. The letter I is always capitalized when used alone to represent a person. And the first letter of a sentence should always be capitalized as well. How can you upgrade software and have it be less "smart"?

i 100% agree with you, i haven't had to capitalize my own i in how many years and now i have to use shift? this is ridiculous, and capitalize the first letter of a sentence, but don't worry, it can still predict what you want to say. going from auto shift to manual shift? doesn't make sense does it.

agree. It's been an ongoing issue for years now. The new app has many missing features. It has potential, but hard to believe some of these things have been left unchanged for so long.

September 2024 and still not fixed. It is illogical to not capitalize the first letter of a sentence and an independent 'i' - Hard to believe that this development could be as a result of customer feedback. The new version of outlook is very cumbersome

    I agree!

This has been super frustrating. I don't typically use outlook for personal email, only professional. This new outlook just makes me want to use the free google suite instead. i feel like its moving to gmail format. lots of these little things that helped me save time and keep me professional seem to be gone with the new version. If i am going to need to unlearn my bad typing again because the tools dont help, i might as well use the free tools.
