I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

Word 95 was able to Auto-Capitalize.

Unbelievable oversite missing this feature that so many have grown accustomed to.

Still waiting for this to be fixed, Auto-Capitalize should be an option in the editor or under Auto-Format options.

Stupid oversite that it is not there as loads of people are used to outlook doing it automatically.

Having to highlight everything and then use the Sentence Case option is not a replacement for the auto-capitalize functionality that has been present in Outlook for over a decade.

Just to note, Windows 10/11 has a system wide option for Auto-Capitalize, which would be fine, but it only works with touch keyboards not physical ones, ridiculous!

This is actually embarrassing and indicative of how much Microsoft has begun to slip as a software company.

I was trying to work around the limitations of "New Outlook" as I appreciate it's a bit faster, has better OneDrive integration, and search is much quicker as it's server-side, however not including automatic text replacement for basic grammatical errors is actually a joke. How is Microsoft pushing this out, spamming users to TRY THE NEW OUTLOOK!!! and making such a massive fuss about using it if it doesn't have *basic functionality*?!?!?!?!?!

As I said, I can deal with some of the limitations and a lack of feature parity with the main Outlook app, but no text replacement? WHAT???
