Add folder from a shared mailbox to favorites

Hi,

I am using the "new" Outlook for Windows. It seems that it is no longer possible to move a folder from a shared mailbox to the favorites folder. This used to be possible in the "old" version. Is this feature gone or am I overlooking something?

Thanks for your help.

This issue MUST be addressed. The only reason I switched to the new Outlook is because the classic version began crashing when printing certain emails that I must print to PDF for record purposes. Between the classic version going wonky and not being repairable and the new version not being customizable to my desires I'm pulling out what little hair I still have.

Are there a solution for this ? I can see your reply is nearly 2 years back, so why is this not fixed?

    Dear SantiGM_200,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that you have a query on adding a shared mailbox folder to favorites in the New Outlook.

After thorough tests and consults from my end, it’s been concluded that this option is indeed not available for now. I do understand your need for this and we do apologize if we are not able to meet your requirements. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will surely raise you concerns to our Product Team and hopefully this can be included in the future updates.

However, the new Outlook is still a work in progress and is still at the preview stage. There's therefore room for improvement. If you don't mind, please provide feedback on this feature request by Contact support and provide feedback within the new Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support or creating a new post in the Feedback Portal at Outlook · Community (microsoft.com), Microsoft is committed to enhancing the customer experience by continually examining suggestions to include in the design and development of future product upgrades based on your suggestions.

Your kind understanding is highly appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you for your precious time and kind understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf

Thank you so much for your heartfelt reply filled with corporate poetry and promises of "room for improvement" - this thread was started 2023... But reall inspiring to see how far we’ve come in crafting a message that says a lot without actually addressing the issue. 👏 ANDnyou sugest to provide feedback in yet another portal. If I didnt know better i woudl think this was just a joke 😂

Sooooo..... This is posted where you suggested as well as here, is there ever going to be any movement on this incredibly basic feature that is also incredibly important to useability?

Just as a reminder for all those patiently waiting for this (and listed on the responses to this post).
This is the offical Microsoft Roadmap Feature Request. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Outlook&searchterms=388913 It is still in devlepment. It has been delayed for rollout numerous times over the past year. It isn't being totally ignored, it is just taking time. Does not look like any updates since 22nd November (when they announced December rollout postponed to January)
I am not a Microsoft representative, just a customer anxiously awaiting this feature too.
