Hi,
I am using the "new" Outlook for Windows. It seems that it is no longer possible to move a folder from a shared mailbox to the favorites folder. This used to be possible in the "old" version. Is this feature gone or am I overlooking something?
Thanks for your help.

Come on Microsoft. Embarrassing that this feature was lost in the first place, even worse that it is taking this long to get it back. I try and fight the good fight when MS come out with updates to programmes, but this sort of basic lack makes it impossible.
Today I received
Starting April 2026, users with Microsoft 365 for Enterprise licenses will be toggled from classic Outlook for Windows to new Outlook for Windows.
Hopefully they implemented this request by then, otherwise everybody will rollback.
Wow nearly 2 years later and zero improvement on an extremely easy feature.
Dear SantiGM_200,
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.
Based on your description, I understand that you have a query on adding a shared mailbox folder to favorites in the New Outlook.
After thorough tests and consults from my end, it’s been concluded that this option is indeed not available for now. I do understand your need for this and we do apologize if we are not able to meet your requirements. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will surely raise you concerns to our Product Team and hopefully this can be included in the future updates.
However, the new Outlook is still a work in progress and is still at the preview stage. There's therefore room for improvement. If you don't mind, please provide feedback on this feature request by Contact support and provide feedback within the new Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support or creating a new post in the Feedback Portal at Outlook · Community (microsoft.com), Microsoft is committed to enhancing the customer experience by continually examining suggestions to include in the design and development of future product upgrades based on your suggestions.
Your kind understanding is highly appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you for your precious time and kind understanding.
Best Regards,
Ashraf
