Add folder from a shared mailbox to favorites

Hi,

I am using the "new" Outlook for Windows. It seems that it is no longer possible to move a folder from a shared mailbox to the favorites folder. This used to be possible in the "old" version. Is this feature gone or am I overlooking something?

Thanks for your help.

Hi there, I tried this and it doesn't work for me. I can only see certain things in this view and not the actual emails that are coming through daily through these additional mailboxes that I have. Unless I am doing something wrong. I am currently looking at the shared folder and all I can see is what I may have sent from this mailbox I can't see what others are sending to me. I have to go to the actual inbox to see the incoming emails.

Hey guys, there's a workaround, you just need right-click on the top of Favorites and then 'Add Favorite' (or click on 'Add favorite' at the end of the list).

Then just search for the shared inbox by typing its name and voila, you'll have your shared inbox within your favs list. You cannot have a specific folder within the shared account, but you can have the inbox at least.

The new version is in reality a canned web-version, so it's the same for the web-version. I have to say that when it comes to shared inboxes, this version works way better.

    I hope it helps!

Have a good one you all.

    Dan.

Yes, same problem here, and a very nice future that many of our customers/users really want to be added to the "New Outlook"

    Please!

We are experiencing the same difficulties on the Outlook App as many other people who have replied. The nility to add shared mailbox inboxes to favouties is very important due to the number of shared inboxes we use and the nuber of subfolders each inbox uses.

The all shared mailboxes are now positioned at the very bottom as a sub-folder called "shared with me". This means scrolling down a long way when all the mailbos subfolders are open, and it can be very disoriantating. The section doesn't stand out in a way that helps the user identify it quickly and easily and work from it as an inbox in it's own right. The web version is visually better, in this respect. I have attached two images which show the difference.

The other issues I am having are:

    • The ability to create rules within shared mailboxes.
    • The ability to auto-assign signatures and "from" email addresses from shared mailboxes, as replies always defaults to the user email rather than the mailbox email.

Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated

I agree. Please, please make sure this feature is considered. I have serval mailboxes that I look at and being able to see them all in my favorites really helps. This has caused me to revert back to the old version.
