Add folder from a shared mailbox to favorites

Hi,

I am using the "new" Outlook for Windows. It seems that it is no longer possible to move a folder from a shared mailbox to the favorites folder. This used to be possible in the "old" version. Is this feature gone or am I overlooking something?

Thanks for your help.

Confirming an "Add To Favorites" with yellow star folder icon is now present and functional in right-click context menu for shared mailbox folders in Microsoft® Outlook® (Classic) for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2504 Build 16.0.18730.20122) 64-bit, and also that this option remains ABSENT for archived folders.

Please be aware that Archive option is not yet available. Or if it is already available doesn't archive to de right folder. All the archived items will be appear in your main account folder, not to the shared mailbox archive folder. So, be careful. I think it isn't yet the time to celebrate!...

    Hi Everyone,

I am not on the targeted release but have now got the feature which is great, however as with everything its not perfect, i have come across an issue which is when adding the shared inbox as a favourite if you have any sub folders to that inbox i have been unable to see then as the drop down icon from the inbox disappears however, what i have done is added all of the sub folders i use the most to my favourites first then added the shared inbox which has worked fine, however as i manage multiple inboxes i have had to select this feature for the highest priority inboxes. i have reported the bug to Microsoft so maybe in a couple of years time it might be working.

It is still far from perfect, unfortunately. It's like they completely forgot about shared mailboxes altogether when starting the development of this "New" Outlook, even though I feel like most people working for a mid-size to large company would likely be using these for company, project or team-based mailboxes.

I just don't get why anyone would want the current way of displaying these in the new version, rather than having shared mailboxes visualized as actual mailboxes as it has always been? Because that is how most of us use them in the first place.
