Dropping the To Do Bar is a massively frustrating misstep. I *need* to see my calendar at all times, and in the new version, that isn't possible unless I cover up part of the email preview pane. So I can't leave "My Day" visible at all times and usefully work in email, which renders the new version completely dysfunctional for me. I also can't revert to the older version of Outlook, because there's a glitch in the program that has eliminated Focused Inbox for me, no matter how many times our IT team uninstalls and reinstalls the program. So I'm forced to choose between easily viewing my calendar throughout the day, so I know what meetings are coming up next and can easily click into them, but having spam/newsletter/vendor emails show up in my inbox with all my important stuff OR screening out the less important emails (a function I love) but having a barely usable calendar function. Super unhappy about all of this. Poory decided, Microsoft.

I agree, it's a must have. Why is "upgrading" really a downgrade for power users? There's the built in mail app for those that struggle with basic outlook features, why continually dumb down? I also found that dark mode did not work correctly, and have moved back. Will actual Microsoft developers respond? I doubt it, they just hide away without taking any pride or responsibility in their work.

Bring back the "to do bar"! I us it to search via categories in the to-do bar and it's very easy for me to find flagged emails move them to different category's and remove the flags this is how i work everyday and its a great way to do it. I plan to stay on the old look unless this feature comes across. This is a shame because I always like to try new things but taking this feature away has ruined it for me !

Thank you for trying to help, but the point of our posts is that those are all separate clicks and locations. We need the functionality of seeing everything simultaneously, as we can now. Why would an update reduce function?

For anyone else looking, the To Do is (at least as of now) in the New Outlook view. In the upper right area near the close/minimize/maximize buttosn there's a calendar and checkmark icon next to the notification bell. Hit that and it opens a calendar/to do pane.
