Outlook App opening a browser Tab

While using the Outlook App on Windows 10, Creating a new event in Calendar, and ONLY when selecting Invite Attendees button, Outlook will open a tab in my browser that does nothing but have the outlook logo.

    Could you provide a link? A Google search on this code produces a chinese and a russian result. DuckDuckGo doesn't produce much more.

    We now have a second employee dealing with this. She was away for a short vacation and I installed Dell Command updates on her system and 5 or 6 others. She logged in to her PC and launched Outlook like she does every morning. The browser opened with Outlook login requirements, she did those (inlcluding MFA), and now the blue envelope animation opens in a browser tab when she closes and opens Outlook. I stood over her shoulder and watched all this happen. Nothing looked unusual, except for getting a login prompt in the browser. I just assumed it was MS365 wanting the periodic authentication (which has been VERY inconsistent, but that's why this seemed to be filling that need).

    Outlook Unexpectedly Opens a Browser Window if OWA is Disabled

    At least Microsoft is finally acknowledging it.  However, a fix isn't expected until mid April 2023 at the earliest, according to the article linked above.

    I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, thank you for posting this! I just had another user yesterday experience this (and now she sees the browser window every time she starts Outlook). That's 3 of 15 users. Should we start a bet on how many users experience this by the time this is finished? lol
