Text disappears or distorted while typing on Outlook (Office 365)

This has been an issue for a while. I'm using Outlook as part of Office 365 on my desktop, Dell XPS 8950. While writing an email, all of sudden, text disappears or gets distorted (e.g., some part of the text is shown and the other part is not). After scrolling up and down the mouse wheel, it usually returns to normal.

I've searched for a solution and found almost all suggested solutions say that I need to disable "overtype mode" as below. However, both options were already unchecked but the issue does not go away.

If you know other causes or solutions, please let me know. This is really annoying and refuses to go away. If standalone Outlook (e.g., Office 2021) does not have this issue, please let me know. Thanks.

    For some users, this appears to be an on-going issue. Report it to Microsoft using the feedback facility.

    Since this thread is rather old by now, it is probably a better idea to start a new thread so that it gets more attention. You can of course include a hyperlink to this as well as other threads, if appropriate.

    Since I switched to Office 2021, I haven't had this issue. But, this doesn't mean that Office 365 has this issue. I used to have Office 365 on my laptop and desktop. This issue happened to only my desktop. I still have Office 365 on my laptop but don't have this issue with exactly the same settings. It's mysterious.

    Hello, I too struggled with this exasperating issue. It only occurs in Outlook 365, not Word, Excel, etc. on pc. My notebook was perfectly fine and runs perfectly well with Outlook. The final action that worked is to remove the latest AMD driver, then just use the windows driver that gets automatically installed. Something in the I'd say the last two versions of the AMD driver is causing this problem. Maybe this will action will help.
