Text disappears or distorted while typing on Outlook (Office 365)

This has been an issue for a while. I'm using Outlook as part of Office 365 on my desktop, Dell XPS 8950. While writing an email, all of sudden, text disappears or gets distorted (e.g., some part of the text is shown and the other part is not). After scrolling up and down the mouse wheel, it usually returns to normal.

I've searched for a solution and found almost all suggested solutions say that I need to disable "overtype mode" as below. However, both options were already unchecked but the issue does not go away.

If you know other causes or solutions, please let me know. This is really annoying and refuses to go away. If standalone Outlook (e.g., Office 2021) does not have this issue, please let me know. Thanks.

    The fix that finally worked for me was uninstalling the AMD drivers that come with Windows 11 and installing the AMD: Adrenaline Edition software/drivers. Since then, I haven't had any issues at all. I know that doesn't help anyone not using an AMD card, but thought I would share anyway. Maybe it somehow helps direct troubleshooting for others.

    Thats not possible for me since Im using a desktop PC (not an laptop).
    Im also using the Core i5-12600KF which does not include integrated graphics.
    So I'm always forced to use an dedicated graphic card.

    Hello everybody,

    I have found a solution that works for me. In my case the issue seems to be related to the Graphic Card or its management. I had recently changed the GPU Working Mode to a mode that was using only the Dedicated Graphic Card, and then the issue started. So I have changed the GPU Working Mode back to Hybrid using the Dedicated Graphic Card only when it is needed (gaming basically).

    I have a Lenovo Pro 5... so I could change this easily in the Lenovo Vantage app, but I guess with other PCs you can do a similar change. I would try just to use the integrated graphic card when using Outlook.

    Even that it's really annoying and unproductive, don't worry the text will not actually disappear.
    The text is only visually disappearing, but will come back when you for example move your window, scrolling in the document, zooming, switch window, selecting all text and etc. The solution seems to differ on different systems.

    I've had this BUG for years. Even on different machines. Im stunned that this issue never been solved when so many users globally stumble upon this issue.

    Same issue and it is annoying as all hell, considering switching to another productivity suite now as I work on email and word processors all day and cannot have text disappearing in official or legal documents. NVidia 4080 card, updated drivers, new install.
