This is conceivable. I've been using Apple and iCloud for the last 15 years. For some time I wanted to check how to work on WIN 11. For mail and contacts, I chose Outlook in 365.
Something bad happened in the contact database and I had to delete them all to upload new ones. I had almost 3000 of them and now attention:
To do this, you need to delete them with 10 pcs. !
Then, to delete them from the deleted folder, you need to delete with 50 pcs.
It is unlikely that it lacks such basic features that have been present for a long time in google and iCloud.
Can anyone answer the question why this is so?

It sort of works but limits you to 50 contacts. Much better than 10 but far from useful if you have 100's of contact and or duplicates.

I'm Totally Dismayed .. Microsoft cannot answer a simple question ... over with over a year of people asking the same question without any clue as to when a solution will be available ... actually, there has not been ONE response from an expert that even sounds like they understand the question ... its like the developers don't know what they did and neither does anyone else .. Not even sure anyone from Microsoft has looked at the New Outlook not to mention the Classic Outlook product .. maybe it was developed by a Google Docs Engineer somewhere on the Moon... The trick to delete contacts when switching back to Outlook Classic only works on that database file. When going back to New Outlook, a different contacts database is at play. Classic and New are totally different and do not interact. Do not be fooled by the fact emails seems or appear to track... Not convinced its true yet ... there are some quarky things happening with email... Not to mention Calendar ...
I'm totally frustrated and now that I switched and left Gmail ... Microsoft has totally scaled back any productivity I thought I would gain ... what a sales pitch I bought into hook line & sinker ....
And if this is a confusing issue ... don't even attempt to ask this same question using CoPilot ...
Microsoft has been so adamant about fixing this small issue ... They make it seem like it's a big deal.
For Christ's sake , can't Microsoft make outlook better ?..
First of all, outlook messes the contacts sync big time , contacts get duplicated big time , from 1400 contacts , I now have 7000 contacts.. Microsoft expects me to delete them in clusters of 10.
So frustrating.
Google and Samsung are far better when it comes to contacts handling.

it happen in past and now. I try to import contacts and they where not in that acount. and i try another time and they where duplicate. Each time and now i have 13.000 + 13000 contacts. Is microsoft sleaping????
