how to delete more than 10 contacts in outlook 365, how to delete more than 50 contacts in outlook 365

This is conceivable. I've been using Apple and iCloud for the last 15 years. For some time I wanted to check how to work on WIN 11. For mail and contacts, I chose Outlook in 365.

Something bad happened in the contact database and I had to delete them all to upload new ones. I had almost 3000 of them and now attention:

To do this, you need to delete them with 10 pcs. !

Then, to delete them from the deleted folder, you need to delete with 50 pcs.

It is unlikely that it lacks such basic features that have been present for a long time in google and iCloud.

Can anyone answer the question why this is so?

It's an erratic behavior. I did a sync with smartphone and all my contacts was copied to outlook. So I decided to unsync, and voilá. Let's remove 400+ contacts, but how? LOL, it seems microsoft dev team didn't test this scenario.

The 'delete' button (don't know the exact name in english) was disabling even in some tries with a few contacts selected.

I suffered but managed to remove them all and I swear I will never use this product again. Good luck to Microsoft! 👋

    Yeas,

I realized that after as well, a limit of 50. It's absolutely insane that a tool such as Outlook has such a ridiculous and arbitrary limit.

Malwarebytes reports that the links likely contain a Trojan.

I tried nfhartmanns method, but it did not work for me.

What I did find, was that I could now select 50 email at a time for deletion. This seems to be enough for my purposes. Probably will take three tranches.

    Hello guys,

I was going through same issue and managed to solve it. Posting here for anyone still looking for an answer to this super frustrating issue.

https://imgtr.ee/images/2024/02/29/90f569c27dfc1961561678ffe26aa67d.png Look at top left corner in above image, there is an option "New Contacts" circled in red color. When that option is ON, then I dont see "delete" option for more than 10 selected contacts.

    https://imgtr.ee/images/2024/02/29/4d4823815ee5d565e496ed2dd607f682.png See the second image,

    • I turned "New Contacts" OFF.
    • Now it opens a new section highlighted by red arrow.
    • Go to that option, now select any number of contacts. You will continue to see "Delete" option.

Note : Make sure to refresh page once before you turn off "New Contacts". Weirdly it does not work sometimes, so refreshing page is sure shot way to make it work

    Hi there,

trying to do the same here. Could you explain what you mean by "Turn off New Contact"? How can I disable a button? The image links you posted sadly end in a 404 error.

    Thanks :)

EDIT: OOOOH I found it thanks so much. I thought you meant disabling the button "Add new contact". You were talking about the toggle for switching between the 'old' and 'new' contacts style.
