Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook.com
I have 50000 deleted contacts in my deleted contact folder but it won't let me empty the deleted contacts folder in mass, it limits me to 50 contacts at a time. any ideas?

This is conceivable. I've been using Apple and iCloud for the last 15 years. For some time I wanted to check how to work on WIN 11. For mail and contacts, I chose Outlook in 365.
Something bad happened in the contact database and I had to delete them all to upload new ones. I had almost 3000 of them and now attention:
To do this, you need to delete them with 10 pcs. !
Then, to delete them from the deleted folder, you need to delete with 50 pcs.
It is unlikely that it lacks such basic features that have been present for a long time in google and iCloud.
Can anyone answer the question why this is so?

Thanks so much. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Do you think I should delete Office 365 and Outlook and start over with an install of the Classic Office app? I'm going to search Microsoft for that app. If you have a direct link please post it. thanks again.
I had this problem with the New Outlook with MS Office 2021 (Cannot delete more than 10 after bad import) but by reverting to Classic Office I could delete all the contacts and start again.
I created a new contacts folder in Classic Outlook and imported the contacts that I needed then I reverted to New Outlook.
Personally the jury is out on which I prefer..
I just finished spending over an hour deleting contacts that I did not want on my work email.
My employer controls the web app and I cannot use any workaround for the irresponsible microsoft programming which takes away users control over their contact lists.
My personal information should not be subject to obvious attempts to keep access to it by Microsoft.
Since people have been complaining about this for months with no action from MS I now understand that it is not a technical glitch but a purposefully designed intrusion into privacy.
Fortunately there are other platforms around. In my other company I will hasten to get off MS.
No need to respond. Your answers have had no real fix in them, just fake condolences.
I have tried selecting all and I cannot delete them.
I can only delete one at a time and I have 6000 contacts. I need to get them all out of my account.
I cannot move or delete them.
I can't even delete or select 50 at a time. This is really frustrating.
I'm installing microsoft 365. is I remove all of them from there , will the system sync an delete them all online too.
