how to delete more than 10 contacts in outlook 365, how to delete more than 50 contacts in outlook 365

This is conceivable. I've been using Apple and iCloud for the last 15 years. For some time I wanted to check how to work on WIN 11. For mail and contacts, I chose Outlook in 365.

Something bad happened in the contact database and I had to delete them all to upload new ones. I had almost 3000 of them and now attention:

To do this, you need to delete them with 10 pcs. !

Then, to delete them from the deleted folder, you need to delete with 50 pcs.

It is unlikely that it lacks such basic features that have been present for a long time in google and iCloud.

Can anyone answer the question why this is so?

    SOLVED!!
Switch to classic view or app. Either by toggle switch in the top right corner, or by going to Help > Go to Classic Outlook.
Then open contacts tab on the left (Two people logo):

    1. Go to View tab
    2. Under the Current view section, click Change View and select "List"
    3. Under the Current view section, click View Settings
    4. Click the "Group By" button
    5. Change the "Group items by" to "none" (first in list)
    6. Click Ok > Ok
    7. Scroll to bottom and all your recently added contacts should be there.
    8. Click the first of the list, scroll down, Shift+Click the last on the list (to bulk highlight) (Alternatively bulk highlight as per usual practices, CTRL+ Click)
    9. Click home (top menu)
    10. Click Delete (main Tab Logo)

    Done!

This is easy to accomplish, though not exactly simple. From Outlook export ALL contacts to an Excel file. Open the file in Excel. Edit the file. Save the file. In Outlook delete ALL contacts. Then import the edited file from Excel.

This doesn't work for me. When I Select All in Contacts, the Delete button is greyed out. I also get the message that I have selected more than 10 contacts. I have 612 contacts. I'm having to go through selecting 10 at a time and deleting them like that, and sometimes I get a message saying that something didn't work and I have to try it again.
