Dear Mr Cheese,
Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
Based on your description, I understand that you have a concern "Outlook - Office 365 - Desktop - Move Navigation Bar to bottom”.
As you mentioned, this happened due to outlook updates which moved Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, and more from the bottom of your folder pane to the left side of the Outlook window. And it said that by going back to the old view in Outlook or any other Microsoft 365 app by turning off the Try it now toggle for Coming Soon return it to the bottom. See Preview the new location for the Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, and other modules (microsoft.com).
Moreover, if now no longer there, try this: Close MS Outlook > press Win+R and enter outlook.exe /safe to open Outlook in Safe mode > if you see no feature for "Coming soon," close the Safe mode of Outlook > reopen Outlook in normal mode to check if anything changes.
If the previous doesn't work, try this recent workaround that fixed this for many users, 'Close Outlook, and then in the registry editor,
- Navigate to the following registry key >> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides Locate the “Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar” string value and set it to “false“> Click OK and restart Outlook to check if it works.
- If the string "Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar" doesn't exist, create it by right clicking on Overrides in the left pane and selecting New > String Value then Paste "Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar" in the new entry that appears in the right pane
- Double-click the new name
- Enter "False" in the Value data field and Click OK
- Close and restart Outlook
We look forward to hearing from you; Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
