NEW OUT LOOK QUICK STEPS OPTIONS TO CREATE NEW EMAIL IS MISSING

This is why I hate switching to "New" versions of application software. Software companies push their products out unfinished or lacking key features that the customer-base strongly desires, especially ones they used in older versions. I recently switched from the legacy Outlook because it was not being updated anymore causing memory usage spikes while simply typing an email. At first, I was pleasantly surprised by the reduction in memory usage using the new version, but it became terrible when I noticed the Quick Step New Email settings did not transfer over. This was one of my favorite features in the older versions to preset an email for a large group of individuals. It was even more terrible to come here to find the original post in May of 2023 mentioning the same thing. Here I am a week before Thanksgiving 2024 and I have so much to be thankful for, but Microsoft's lack of customer support on this topic is not one of them.

Is there any update related to the development of this in the new outlook?

According to your description, I really understand that you are referring to the current features in New Outlook preview. And based on my research and tests, I got the same result as yours. I'm afraid many options in legacy Outlook are not all available yet in New Outlook preview, Getting started with the new Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support.

 

Please kindly understand that many functions are not designed at present. To get this feature more quickly, I suggest creating an entry as a feature suggestion in feedback collection at Outlook · Community (microsoft.com) and many other users could vote for it. Many features of the current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. You can also make suggestions on that website and hope Microsoft will notice this in the future.

Any news about the lack of New email in Quick Steps? Just got an information that the new Outlook will be forced on our organisation per 6 Jan 2025 and this is a feature a lot of us use and will miss. Can't understand why it has been removed.

this is an important feature. This should be updated ASAP

Quick Step does have a new email option. I use this every day! Please get this added asap.
