NEW OUT LOOK QUICK STEPS OPTIONS TO CREATE NEW EMAIL IS MISSING

To create the contact list:

• Go to People
• Go to the New Contact drop down and choose New Contact List
• Name your contact list
• Add the email addresses for the individuals included.

To create the signature with the email body text:

• Go to settings
• Go to Signatures
• Select New Signature
• Create a name that you will associate with that email you're sending
• Add the body of the text PLUS the actual signature you will use
• Save

To use this method:

• Instead of going to New Email to create your email, go to People
• Go to Your contact lists
• Select your list from the options you've created
• In the viewing panel, select Send Email
• Select Insert Signature to select the signature you've created with the email body you are sending.
• Be sure to add a subject. I haven't found a way around that yet.

Thank you so much for this remedy. I used to use Quick Steps a lot. And I just realized that all my old Quick Step shortcuts disappeared in the switch to new Outlook.

I couldnt do the contacts thing you suggested because I have over 100 clients with 2-10 different contacts per. But I was able to create the signature. Now when I go to compose the email, I fill in the recipient and subject line, then from the Signature option in the tool bar the new signature which includes my preset email message populated! So, happy to find a workaround! Thank you thank you!

What I had in the old outlook were actual emails set up that has the reciepent filled in along with the subject line, email body and signature line. All I had to do was click on the email I wanted, add an attachment and send it on it's way.

Right. That doesn't exist in the new outlook. This is the best way I've found to deal with that. Hopefully they bring it over and SOON!

Yes, from what I understand this has been an ongoing concern for 2 years now. I hate that they introduce something new when it's not fully functionable for users. I use the new outlook at my job and it's important to have the necessary tools to do the job. But I doubt Microsoft cares about that.

It's a shame they don't read these posts to see how frustrated people are.

Agree. I have quite a few of those quick steps set up for various things that require the same responses, just different individuals. It saves a lot of time. Why would they take features away? This is so frustrating.
