'File' and other toolbars in new Outlook 2023

Please advise where I can find File and other toolbars such as Insert, Reference, etc in Outlook?. Currently I'm only seeing Home, View and Help toolbars.

    I have fallen back on the Office 16 version of Outlook. It works reliably for me with my existing btinternet e-mail address. I could not find any way to add this to the 365 integrated version: no tab or three dots etc. I read elsewhere that Microsoft are now only allowing gmail additions to the 365 Outlook, but Bing claims btinternet should work. My gmail address certainly works on the 365 version.

    Only outlook.com / Microsoft 365 business and Gmail addresses are currently supported in the new outlook. It also doesn't support offline use.

    It's June 2023. I'm using 'New Outlook'. I know I can turn it off, but I thought I'd give it a go. It's far, far to simplified to be useful, so I've turned on as many of the 'advanced' features as I can. I still can't find a way to view the full header of an email. It was hidden poorly enough before, inside the 'File' menu option, but now the 'File' option is gone. This question asks where it has gone. The entire thread of responses is dominated by (1) Observations that the user must be using Outlook for the web (not true), and to switch to the desktop client. (2) Guidance that settings are available in the gear icon (true, but not an answer to the original question) and (3) suggestions to swtich back to proper Outlook (Again, an option, but not the question that was asked).

    As far as I can tell, at this point it is not possible to access the 'File' menu option in this 'New' version of the Outlook client. It may be possible to access mail headers in a different way, but if it is, I can't see it.

    The new Outlook is basically Outlook on the web in an app framework so you need to use the Outlook on the web method (this is why the steps for the New Outlook appear to be for Outlook on the web) - with the message open (in reading pane or new window) click the 3 dots to the right of the row of buttons in the header area. Click View > View message details.

    Hello RenaldoB,

    I am also having the same issue, but my concern is that there doesn't seem to be a file button. I mostly used the file option to save email templates for work to make workflow easier but I don't see a way to do that. Where can I see my account information and be able to change the account that I am signed in as? Here is the Outlook icon that I have
