'File' and other toolbars in new Outlook 2023

Please advise where I can find File and other toolbars such as Insert, Reference, etc in Outlook?. Currently I'm only seeing Home, View and Help toolbars.

    See You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support. They have a link to download outlook. Apparently, especially on new computers, Outlook is not being preinstalled with office. Suspect reinstalling windows has the same effect.

    Toolbars are victims of Microsoft managers who think they know what their customers want. To print an email, for example, click the 3 dots at top right. There's a drop-down that said managers hope contains the functions that satisfy your needs. You are now a beta tester! If Outlook does not satisfy your functional requirements, you might want to try Thunderbird. It's free and it works. I'm ditching Outlook. Cloud-based email doesn't meet my needs and especially internet access availability.

    just another quick one: does MS365 PERSONAL include EXCHANGE server service? i used to use MAC and an IMAP Server for email (with a 3rd party hosting service). Now transferred to a MS laptop and today when installing the old version of outlook, i accidentally chose MS Exchange.

    It seems to work. BUT, all my old emails are gone (i believe this is because of the server change).

    1. if i continue to use MS Exchange, is there a way to transfer all old emails to the new server set up?

    and

    1. it sounds more logical to use MS EXCHANGE now that i am suing MS365, BUT what are the limitations of using MS EXCHANGE?

    Personally, I would take the easy way out and buy a Mac. Mac Mail is a tad complicated at first but once you get the hang of it, bingo. I found Outlook and then Outlook New as frustrating as everyone else on this page. Plus, you can phone Apple Support and someone always answers. (Ever tried to phone Microsoft?)

I found Outlook and then Outlook New as frustrating as everyone else on this page. Plus, you can phone Apple Support and someone always answers. (Ever tried to phone Microsoft?)

    Depending on what your needs are, mac may not be the best option (and not just because Outlook for mac is no better than new outlook). I have a MacBook... and it has parallels installed with windows 11.... because the mac can't do everything I need it to do.
