Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Dear Fnurk,
Thank you for your reply.
I'm doing more research and testing on this issue, but since the reasons can be varied, please try more things:
a.
Please navigate to File > Options > Mail > Save messagesto disable “Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes” feature on the Outlook client. If this feature is enabled, try disabling it and see if the problem persists.
b.
the issue might be caused by corrupted add-in in Outlook, it is recommended you run Outlook on safe mode.
- Exit Outlook client.
- Right-click Start button to Run.
- Type "Outlook /safe" on the Run box and press Enter.
(Note: there is the space but not quotation marks in the command)
Open Outlook in safe mode - Microsoft Support
c.
Clear cache files in Outlook. Before we start the liquidation process, please save your work in Outlook and close Outlook.
- Press the Windows key (the key with the Windows logo) and the R key at the same time. The Run dialog box pops up.
- Type or paste %localappdata%MicrosoftOutlook in the Open box and click the OK button.
- Locate the Roaming Cache folder and double-click it to view the cache files.
- Press Ctrl + A to select all cache files, then right-click and click the Delete button in the menu.
you can also try to clear the cache in Skype for Business, for the detailed steps, please follow below:
- Log out of Skype for Business.
- Delete any sign-in information.
- Exit Skype for Business.
- In File Explorer, navigate to "%localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync".
- Delete the sip_profileName folder.
- Delete all files in Tracing folder but do not delete the folder itself.
- Open the command prompt and run "ipconfig /flushdns".
Hope this information is useful to you. If there is any progress on the issue, please update it with this post and we will do our best to help you.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation, I wish you all the best!
