I recently switched over to try the "New Outlook". In the older layout version of Outlook, when downloading an attachment I had multiple options on how that attachment could be saved to my computer. The main option I utilized was simply " Save As". In the "New Outlook" version, that option is no longer there. Is there a way to customize the options you see when downloading an attachment? Here are the options it gives:
-Edit in Browser
-Edit in Excel desktop app (it was an excel file in this case)
-Save to OneDrive
-Download
The old options would have:
-Preview
-Open
-Quick Print
-Save As
Save All Attachments
-Upload
-Remove Attachment
-Copy
-Select All
Really looking for the "Save As" option so I can navigate to the final destination folder.

Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

Hi, as of today maybe yesterday, the download function is now opening a dialog box again. So it appears they have put the function into the New Outlook. Not sure how long it will last this time but I clicked Download from the email and a box popped up just like the old Outlook. Let's hope it stays this time.
I found a little workaround by first Previewing the file. From that window, if you press Download, it gives you the option to choose the location to save the file.
Drag and drop (my favorite way of saving attachments) doesn't work at all.
Yup, D-n-D is still by far the fastest way to handle attachments, and it's why I'm still stuck on the old Outlook ;-)
I don't have the option to print the attachment in New Outlook (they should have remembered how well New Coke did). These are the only options I see when I right-click on the attachment or click the dropdown on the attachment (this only applies to Office programs; things like PDFs only give the options of Preview and Save to OneDrive.)
If I open the attachment in Preview, there are no options except Save to OneDrive.
I can print the email itself, but it doesn't have the attachment obviously.

Unfortunately this design scourge is not unique to MS; I often wonder whether dev teams consider how many clicks are required for the user to accomplish something. Do they inhabit our world, or do they live in an alternate reality, where these things just don't matter?
