"All Inboxes" setting for the new Outlook that is part of Windows 11 (not Office)

From a business standpoint, MS has already alienated millions of loyal users who would otherwise be monetized for tons of paid advertising in that unified inbox. Those people won't be back

I have been suffering the same until I came across the VBA option. I followed the instructions from the attached link. It creates an Icon which displays the unified inboxes.

Too late.
I'm now using MailSpring on PC

and FairMail on android

Both are open source, free, both works better than outlook, both got unified inbox by default (and if anything change I'll just make a fork).

I was stupid to be stuck on outlook so long... Don't use workaround, just use a different client.

If you don't like what I suggested try thunderbird, k-9 mail or anything else that suit you.

It took me a few hours to try multiple clients to see what was working and what was not... for me MailSpring is the best on PC and FairMail the best on mobile.

And yes I know outlook on mobile still got unified inbox, but no reason to risk. It was easier to change.

This only works for Classic Outlook Desktop, it does not work for Outlook New or Outlook on the Web as neither of these platforms support VBA.
