Continuous spam emails from the same address: 73 Botley Road, PA20 7FZ, MIDPARK

Hi Frank! It's so annoying isn't it, I'm getting about 300 emails now per day from spam accounts, I've tried it all but nothing has worked yet. I blame Facebook for it as if you click to read an article i believe they sell your email add to everyone and anyone! Apart from shutting down my email address of at least 15 years I'm not sure what else to do!!

I wish you good luck! Tell me if it works, with me it does not. Some of my regular mail from adresses that are safe and in my adressbook, now sometimes end up straight in my Deleted box! Be aware the same does not happen to you.

See my post on 13th October re: View Message Source. If the emails are all coming from the same address this will stop them. I forward each one to ******@phishing.gov.uk, and use the REPORT button. The Botley ones seem to have ceased for the time being. However, other than doing what just stated I have basically given up, no one who can do anything is interested. Funny though, a year or two ago it was all about phone calls and they managed to stop most of them, suppose in a year or two the emails will be sorted. A lot of the TV about fraud at the moment, don't they realise these emails are part of it??? Someone who is a techie could invent an APP that only allows TRUSTED emails to get through, they'd be millionaires within a week.

I have been contacting Microsoft Support multiple times, at least six, and each time someone promises to sort out the problem. Never happens. I have been given instructions to send the information from the 'View Message Source', send them the original email by downloading it and then use the Problem Steps Recorder to demonstrate the problems I am having.

I copied the View Message Source and saved it as instructed but the Secure File Exchange would not accept them.

I followed the instruction to send them a copy of the original email but when I came to download the message my computer, or Microsoft that is, warned me it come harm my system!!

I used the PSR as instructed, but whilst it recorded what I was doing, it didn't record the all important highlighted message I got when trying to add a domain to the Block list.

Think I am resigned to just changing my email address and being a lot more careful on who I divulge it to. I have had the same one since email began and a lot of things have changed since with regard to privacy, so maybe if I change it I will get at least a period of time before the spammers get me again.

Microsoft are not interested, and neither it seems is anyone else !!
