Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Yes, thank you. I'm late, but this is definitely an update that wasn't there before.

I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.

This is still not resolved from my perspective.
The display of the number of items on hover is ok, but it is still not the functionality that I need or want. I just want the previous ability to permanently show the number of total items in each folder.
I completely agree. I don't want to hover over each of my favorite folders to see if they have any items. The total count should always be visible next to the folder name as it was before.

I agree as well. I'd like to know where my workflow stands, and I only have two folders for my workflow. "Things I Owe" and "Owed to Me". I made a quick action to move emails into these folders and mark them as unread. It's less than ideal, especially since I have things where I'm on the "CC" line sent to "Thing I Owe", to have everything as unread. It makes keeping track of what's partially addressed and what hasn't been challenging. My only saving grace is once a thread is finished it's removed from these folders.
I don't find any of the workarounds helpful to my organizational style either. It was so much better before.
