New outlook not showing total email count in each folder on windows application

Yes. A status bar at the bottom of the window that indicates the total number of items and the number of unread item in the inbox is incredibly valuable and helps me track progress/productivity/workload.

I have reverted back to the old version of outlook.

Please add this feature back.

I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.

The solution for this to know number of total emails count in inbox or any of the folder, you just need to bring the cursor on top of the folder and in 1-2 seconds it shows you the total count.

We are talking at the root level where it just shows the email addresses. If someone has 10-20 different email accounts to check they would have to open up each one individually to see if there were any more new emails. Old outlook, you could simply see in one screen which of the different email accounts had new email.

Not the point. I just like to open my outlook inbox and simply see the overall number of emails in my inbox. A large number indicates that I’m losing control of my communications. So when the number gets high, I know I have work to do on my inbox…replying, deleting, filing, actioning, etc.

Then it works for you correct? If you read through this entire discussion you will see the issue most people have with the new Outlook, that Microsoft does not seem to want to fix.
