New outlook not showing total email count in each folder on windows application

I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.

2025-02-04T11:37:04+00:00 Not a great solution at all but for people who rely on seeing email counts in multiple folders I've just turned off marking emails as unread once they've been clicked on. they can still go unread if opened in a new window and it's not exactly an elegant replacement for lost features but it's the best I could figure out.

2024-05-31T01:25:42+00:00 I have tested everything people are describing. I have logged into the Outlook Web App in an internet browser and have been able to find out number of emails in an inbox or folder by right-clicking or hovering. I have opened my New Outlook desktop app (windows 11), which has multiple accounts and many folders and I can get number of emails in all folders and accounts by right-clicking or hovering.
