New outlook not showing total email count in each folder on windows application

I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

    Move the mouse cursor on the folder you will see the count mail.

    This thread has been going for years at this point.
    If that was a solution people were happy with, this thread would have been locked the first of the multitude of times it has been brought up.

    Just googled expecting a simple answer to this very question - just want to have folders and subfolders numbered so I can see when, as a result of one of my rules, I have received an email without having to have multiple folders open!

    Bizarre that, according to this thread, there is no way and people have been asking Microsoft about this issue since mid 2023!

    Is it so hard to add this function?

    Hey there!! this forum is open for almost many months but still no fixes has been rolled out for fixing simple issue in this new outlook??? it is frustrating brother.
