you can hover over the mailbox or right click and it has the items and unread amount
I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.
The solution for this to know number of total emails count in inbox or any of the folder, you just need to bring the cursor on top of the folder and in 1-2 seconds it shows you the total count.

Also - the same information will show if you simply Hover over that folder.
The new Windows Outlook is the worst app I've ever used in my whole life, mxit java WAS BETTER!! , Bill Gates must of designed this one all by himself! WORST WORST WORST!!!
