Sync calendar option keeps getting turned off

I noticed that all my calendars were gone in the Android calendar app and found the reason is, for some reason, the option to sync calendars for my outlook.com account has been turned off in the Outlook app. I turn it back on and within minutes my calendars are populated again, but then hours later it gets turned off again. This started happening in the past few weeks.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi all, I was having the same issue on my Samsung S23 and missed some appointments as a result. Very frustrating.

As suggested previously, I also set battery usage to Unrestricted and also disabled "Remove permissions if app is unused" (screenshot below), along with syncing Contacts and that seems to be working for me at the moment for not having the calendar sync turn off automatically.

(Edit: I tried turning off Contacts sync a few days later and almost immediately, the Calendar sync unchecked as well. Be sure to sync BOTH Calendar and Contacts for this workaround to work)

I set the Outlook battery setting to Unrestricted a couple days ago. So far, the calendars have stayed synced to my device. I'm not ready to declare victory quite yet but am interested to know if anyone else has done this. If so, are you still seeing the calendar sync toggle turn off?

I'll give this a try, would not be the first time I need to do this to resolve application issues.

I'll also give this a try - have just applied these settings now on my S21. Fingers crossed.

I am not, but I do use Business Calendar which sits on top of the default Samsung/Android Calendar. However no other calendars are losing the sync except for Outlook/O365.

I tried to do this but could not actually find a way of setting up a support ticket on the Microsoft site.

I already submitted a support request to Microsoft.

    Here is their response:

"We're receiving an increased number regarding the same issue of yours and we have tagged this as a known bug from the latest device & app version that were released.

Please keep your Outlook Mobile App updated as this may fix the bug from the next releases"

Just have to wait for Microsoft to fix it in a app update.
