Outlook keeps opening multiple windows on macbook (macOS Monterey ver 12.4)

when I run outlook on my macbook air, it opens up multiple windows (up to 50) automatically. this in return freezes up my application.

i've tried to create a new account and reinstall outlook where it will run as expected for a few months and then it restarts to open up multiple windows.

this has been ongoing from running BigSur and now on Monterey.

I found I didn't have to delete my account. It turned out that when I was opening the Outlook app I was clicking on the Outlook app symbol multiple times. When I stopped that and clicked only once, it worked perfectly.

What did not work for me:

    • multiple restarts
    • multiple force quits
    • Deleting the profile
    • Deleting the Outlook saved state in the Library folder

    WHAT FINALLY WORKED

    • deleting the account and making a new one

Same issue here. Outlook is opening dozens of windows and becomes unresponsive. When is Microsoft fixing this issue or is this part of the Mixcrosoft vs. Apple war on the back of users??
