Outlook Calendar shortcut widget stopped working on Android 13 phone

The Outlook calendar shortcut widget on my cell phone stopped working suddenly. I used it frequently. I removed it from my home screen and then tried to reinstall it by moving it from the list of available Outlook widgets back to the home screen. (press, hold, and drag the icon) When I do that, I get a message with the Microsoft logo that the "Shortcut isn't available." I have a Pixel 6a running up to date Android 13. I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook. Didn't help. I verified all app updates have been installed and cleared the cache for the Microsoft apps. Turned off the phone, let it sit, and restarted. I am also using Microsoft Launcher, but the shortcut doesn't work with Pixel Launcher either. It was fine until a couple of days ago. Then it stopped. It's the Outlook Calendar Shortcut, not the Calendar Widget. The Calendar Widget works fine if I try that. Any suggestions?

I know I can access my calendar with a swipe of Microsoft Launcher, but I find it handy to keep the shortcut on my home screen too.

Issue resolved since latest Outlook app update.

    Do you really think that this is an appropriate response to something that is clearly a bug.

    Widget worked fine for users for years.
    Outlook app auto updates et voila ... widget stops working.

    This is a bug.

    Having worked with MS at VP level I suspect that MS management will not be pleased.
    Can this be passed to the MS Outlook dev team as a bug and a response received?

    I appear to have found a workaround.
    Tap & hold > Outlook Icon
    When list appears ...
    Tap & hold > View calendar

    This should give you a "View calendar" icon to drop onto your home screen.

    This seems to work as the Calendar shortcut icon did.
