Outlook Calendar shortcut widget stopped working on Android 13 phone

The Outlook calendar shortcut widget on my cell phone stopped working suddenly. I used it frequently. I removed it from my home screen and then tried to reinstall it by moving it from the list of available Outlook widgets back to the home screen. (press, hold, and drag the icon) When I do that, I get a message with the Microsoft logo that the "Shortcut isn't available." I have a Pixel 6a running up to date Android 13. I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook. Didn't help. I verified all app updates have been installed and cleared the cache for the Microsoft apps. Turned off the phone, let it sit, and restarted. I am also using Microsoft Launcher, but the shortcut doesn't work with Pixel Launcher either. It was fine until a couple of days ago. Then it stopped. It's the Outlook Calendar Shortcut, not the Calendar Widget. The Calendar Widget works fine if I try that. Any suggestions?

I know I can access my calendar with a swipe of Microsoft Launcher, but I find it handy to keep the shortcut on my home screen too.

I'm having the same issue with the Alexa widget. Seems like after the latest Android/OneUi update there seems to be a bug with latest Android/OneUi update where tells us a "shortcut isn't available.

I was actually curious if this was happening with the other apps' widgets and wasn't only isolated to Alexa.

I'm using Microsoft Launcher as well

    1. Reset the device to factory settings, install the app again, and see if that resolves the issue.

When will a technician try to solve it without having to reinstall a computer? With Windows they tell you the same thing: reinstall.

Nobody gives a solution, it always solves itself. What if it happens again? I think that is a regrettable answer.

And someone also has to come to provide an alternative solution, as @ayavilevich has done by saying how to put access to the calendar in a different way. Users do not pay us and technicians do, it is a shame.

In my own experience, it has always been the steps to take for malfunctioning apps on a mobile device if updates or a reinstall does not fix it. Not sure what you're on about.

Also they probably follow a script of some kind. Never worked technical support have you?

Also, that same person who you quoted has actually conceded that this seems to be a bigger issue than was originally thought. Check page 5 he has provided updates to it.
