When your in an email, there are usually up and down arrows top right on the page, allowing me to scroll to the next/previous email...

They aren't there today, is this a glitch or have Microsoft once again updated the look of Outlook and removed a REALLY useful feature???

I posted this in your other thread. How do I move to next email from an open email? Little arrows have - Microsoft Community

When you view messages in a separate window, the Next and Previous arrows are only available on the Quick Access Toolbar.

The Quick Access Toolbar can be above or below the ribbon.

    First, open a message.

Make the Quick Access Toolbar appear. (first picture)

Click on the Customize Quick Access Toolbar icon at the end of the bar. (second picture)

    Click More Commands.

Add Next and Previous. (third picture)

Another way to get to the Customize page:

    First, open a message.

File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar

Note: you have to use the File menu from an open message.

    Thanks for the tip Katherine.

Control < and > do both work but are pretty fiddly to have to do while navigating emails.

I'm definitely on the latest version of Outlook and it's not possible for me to create a new profile due to our company account settings.

    Dear ELC1979,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. To better help you, I did a test on my side and found that there is this setting in my outlook client. My outlook version is the latest. To narrow down your issue, when you are in an email please be kindly to try to click Ctrl < and Ctrl> to check whether the emails will change to next/previous items.

Meanwhile, through my test, on my different versions of outlook, they both can use this feature now. So it may have something wrong with your outlook client. Please be kindly to try the following suggestions and check if these can make any difference.

    1. Open Outlook in safe mode (microsoft.com) to check if the issue still persists.
    2. Repair Office Application: Repair your office application: You can refer to  Repair an Office application (microsoft.com) and then check the result.
    3. Create a new profile: You can try to create a new one according to Create an Outlook profile (microsoft.com). And please do not delete the old one. If nothing works, you can change back the older profile.
    4. If you outlook is not the latest, please update to the latest.

Hope the suggestions above can help you. If there is any update, please feel free to let me know. I will continue to help you based on the information you provide. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Katherine
