When your in an email, there are usually up and down arrows top right on the page, allowing me to scroll to the next/previous email...

They aren't there today, is this a glitch or have Microsoft once again updated the look of Outlook and removed a REALLY useful feature???

    Dear ELC1979,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. To better help you, I did a test on my side and found that there is this setting in my outlook client. My outlook version is the latest. To narrow down your issue, when you are in an email please be kindly to try to click Ctrl < and Ctrl> to check whether the emails will change to next/previous items.

Meanwhile, through my test, on my different versions of outlook, they both can use this feature now. So it may have something wrong with your outlook client. Please be kindly to try the following suggestions and check if these can make any difference.

    1. Open Outlook in safe mode (microsoft.com) to check if the issue still persists.
    2. Repair Office Application: Repair your office application: You can refer to  Repair an Office application (microsoft.com) and then check the result.
    3. Create a new profile: You can try to create a new one according to Create an Outlook profile (microsoft.com). And please do not delete the old one. If nothing works, you can change back the older profile.
    4. If you outlook is not the latest, please update to the latest.

Hope the suggestions above can help you. If there is any update, please feel free to let me know. I will continue to help you based on the information you provide. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Katherine

This is for the actual app isn't it? The image in your post shows a SAVE icon. The problem persists with outlook.live.com, not the app.

This seems to have annoyed a great deal of people including me!! What exactly was the point of removing the arrows?? Would Microsoft like to explain how this BENEFITS users? Stop changing things as not all change is for the better! Please can we have our arrows back! Or at least give us a fix so that we have the choice!!!

Hahaha now this did make me LOL!!! It's so true though!!!

Removing the arrows and moving the trash/pin icons WAY over the right, isn't useful to any one!!!!

Microsoft support have informed me that this matter is being looked into by Tec dept.

Meanwhile have to use control Ctrl button+. (Full stop)button for next message, and Ctrl+, (comma)to go back to previous message.

Above was supplied to me by a quick reply from a Microsoft support agent .

Seems like a few weeks ago they randomly moved the "garbage can" icon for deleting emails from the inbox; I thought that was pretty annoying. This now is a MAJOR inconvenience.
