When your in an email, there are usually up and down arrows top right on the page, allowing me to scroll to the next/previous email...

They aren't there today, is this a glitch or have Microsoft once again updated the look of Outlook and removed a REALLY useful feature???

I dunno. I'm using Windows 10 here at my job, and there is no 3-dot menu in the individual message rows, in the inbox. There is a 3-dot menu up at the top, but my problem is not up at the top.

It's not surprising that is takes so long for issues like this to be addressed, when the Microsoft Agent/ Moderator doesn't take the time to completely read the description of the problem and understand the issue. I would hope that this removal of the Previous and Next Item buttons ( as well as putting the Delete icon back in the more intuitive previous location) will get fixed in the near future, but I don't have a lot of confidence in that.

You can change the position of the Delete icon using the three dot menu in that row (you might have to move some of the other buttons to whichever side of it you want).

    Hi all,

I shared your feedback about the missing next and previous arrows to the Outlook Team and it is being looked into. I'm not sure yet how this will get resolved but the team is aware of it and working on it. I'll post back when I know more.

Keyboard shortcuts work fine, if you a have a physical keyboard, but when you're using a tablet or phone the next/previous arrows are a must.
