new Outlook - change mail spell checker language?

Hi,

I regularly send some emails in English and some in my native language - as most European business people do. In Outlook one language is always set as default spell checker language, but in the old Outlook I could always override this by setting spell checker individually for each message. It took some three clicks, but it was possible. In the new Outlook this option is gone (at least I could not find it) - only thing you can do now is to change default editor spell checking language! This is extremely unfortunate and a huge step back. Please return the option to switch spell checker language when composing the new message. Or even better make it more accessible than in the old Outlook.

    As an update to my earlier message posted on the 18 June, I have tried using the new Outlook to type a message in Lithuanian the following day, and, miraculously, it was working perfectly again. I didn't have to do anything - it just worked, i.e., none of the words typed in Lithuanian were underlined, unless they were misspelled or were not in the Lithuanian spelling dictionary. It was also correctly showing that I have dictionaries for both EN and LT loaded, while a day before I have spent about an hour trying to figure out why it shows only EN as an active dictionary for the spell checker and how to add a dictionary for another language available in Microsoft, although I have loaded the LT dictionary into the new Outlook a few months earlier and used it there successfully.

    For some stupid reason the popup box apears behind the active box and connot be accessed

    Same issue, tried with different approaches...
    Should not it work as expected without any workarounds?

    Just exit full screen mode, that will allow you to access the pop-up window.

    I have the same problem, and I am not using the full screen mode.

    I had this issue with the spell checker in the new free version of Outlook a few months ago. So, I went back to using Microsoft Mail. Then I have tried the new Outlook again and this issue appeared to have been solved. I have managed to add additional language and it has stopped underlining in red every word I have typed in languages other than English. However, this problem has returned a few days ago. This is really difficult to understand... Now there is no way of going back even to Microsoft Mail, as I think it has been discontinued.

    That is a nice workaround, however we need MS to correct these issues in the new version before we are forced to upgrade.

    Hello,
    There is a button switch in the top right corner, and you can switch back to the previous Outlook version, which I actually did. Now spell check works as it should, and I can place the To do list under the Calendar in the bottom right corner. And grey separators between the Today, Yesterday and Weeks ago emails are back, and Read/Unread sign on-top of the Inbox folder works properly. Many small things that just work as they should.
