Mac Outlook 16.63 signature issue

I have a customer who has been unable to set signatures in Mac Outlook since switching to the new interface. If she resets the account every time she opens Outlook the signatures re-appear. We re-installed the Office suite, and various purging of accounts and preference files have been attempted. The issue only returns.

    Hi,

    I just installed the outlock in my mac, and I need to export some dato from my gmail account, and when I put file,---export dosent appears and neither import!. I already check de update off the app, and reset my mac, and nothing works.

    I found a workaround for this issue: log in using a web browser. You can change it in the web interface. However, there was one hiccup: every time I clicked the "+" in the desktop version, it created a new signature file, which only shows up in the web interface and not in the desktop interface, so I had to delete a bunch of extra signature files. Hope they fix this bug soon.

    I understand that you are having a concern with the outlook for Mac signature.

    From your description, the signature re-appears after a reset, so I understand that after some time the signature disappears. Please correct me if that is not the case. Also please confirm that the user is following the steps in this article for signature Create and insert a signature in Outlook for Mac (microsoft.com)

    So assuming that the signature disappears after some time, here is what we can test.

    1- switch back the legacy outlook to see if you face the same situation from there.

    2- Create a new outlook profile from the New Outlook for Mac interface and double check if the issue reproduced.

    3- if the situation if persists, I would suggest you to revert to an earlier outlook for Mac version.

    Hi Mac Nsiloulou MSFT

    Given the discovery by BJ Scheid that "DisableSignatures" is not false (0) by default (message on July 18), isn't it apparent to the Microsoft Mac team what the cause of the "missing signature" bug is? It's been at least a month now--any idea when will we see an update from Microsoft?

    I still have to invoke BJ Scheid's solution to enter "defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures 0" in Terminal whenever I shutdown and re-start my Mac.

    (I hope that I am not replying to an AI chatbot here!)
