Spam emails with no sender address

A few points

#1 - Are these messages being delivered to the <Inbox> or to the <Junk> folder. If these are delivered to the Junk folder then these are already considered blocked by the Outlook Junk filter so there is nothing more you can do about those. There is no option that completely prevents something from being delivered to the <mailbox>.

#2 - If the messages are aarriving in your <Inbox> then your only option would be to create an Inbox rule using the following settings using some common keywords

Condition: <Message header includes>
Value: ***whatever value you are looking for***
Action: <Delete>

#3 - On a more general level, just as a FYI, if you actually reply to any spam message, you are guaranteed to increase the flow of spam messages to your account since it tells the spammer that your is an active valid email. I realize that you may only have hit reply to see the sender's email address with no intention of actually sending a reply.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum. We're users just like you helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft.

I understand the filter you suggest, except for the second step:

Condition: <Message header includes>
Value: ***whatever value you are looking for***
Action: <Delete>

If the Value is blank in the header (return email address), what Value can I use?

So using a guy's feedback on the first page of this thread to go to view -> message source, I was able to find that the majority of the "no sender e-mail address" spams that were going into both my inbox and junk folder were from "******@ofl.ca" at least in the last week, I'm sure they'll swap that soon enough.

I wish I could change my default e-mail address to gmail instead, there seems to be way less junk getting through on there, but having had this address for the last 25 years makes that almost impossible.

It is just insane that hotmail/live/outlook does not have SPF, DKIM or DMAC active.

the reason why these emails are delivered in the inbox is because these have a 'list-unsubscribe' filled in in the header (which actually is pointing to a malicious website) and that bypasses the SPAM mark as you are marking them.

Good to know it works for you. Wait... I check hotmail.com SPF record, it's there. Haven't had time to check their DKIM and DMARC records but I'm sure they're there.
