I, and 3 colleagues, are all on the same version of Outlook for Mac (16.71.2).
For two of us the icons for Mail, Calendar, and People are on the side. The 3rd person has them (where I always used to find them) at the bottom.
I have searched everywhere but cannot figure out how to get them to the bottom again.
Thoughts??

As of version 16.78.1 (MS Outlook for Mac / MS 365 Subscription), with New Outlook checked, the fix doesn't appear to do anything.
For me, only unchecking New Outlook - definitely a step backward - restores the original position of the icons.
Total waste of space, but then "new" outlook is missing many features of "classic" outlook (the interface of which I MUCH prefer) and you cannot effectively use "classic" outlook on any Mac running Ventura because the search link between "classic" outlook and Spotlight was SEVERED (by some "bright" "team" at Msoft) in Ventura

I have two Macs. Same user, same Outlook 365 account. One has the icons on the side. One has them on the bottom. No explanation.
Yes, same here, just got upgraded to v16.75 and now the reset experimental features trick no longer works
