I have searched and found a few others with this problem and I could not find any solution that worked for me.

With Microsoft 365 personal can you access the calendar using the Outlook Android app? When I try to login to add my account I receive this error.

An error occurred during authentication. Please try again later.

Tried using the app to contact support, but just get a spinning blue circle saying contacting to support.

Tried clearing cache, deleting Outlook and reinstalling different WiFi and mobile data, changing password and I keep receiving the error.

I can login using other apps and with the browser. Outlook is the only problem.

    After many attempts, Got it working after trying the below steps with my custom domain office 365 account in Andriod 13.

    (The mail fix seems, after clearing Outlook app data and cache, phone need to be restarted).

    Settings -> Apps -> Outlook app -> Cleared data & cache. Force stop. => not working

    Uninstalled and installed Outlook app ==> not working

    Outlook app Cleared data & cache . And restarted the phone => Working!

    I hoped that this might work for me but sadly it hasn't. I've tried it twice but it has not worked. Many thanks for your help.

    I will continue to use the Yahoo Mail App instead and hope that at some point in the future someone at Microsoft will come up with a solution!

    I have exactly the same issue. After 3 attempts at clearing all data, uninstalling Outlook, and rebooting the android phone (Galaxy S20 Ultra), I narrowed down the fault to trying to add my sky email account. Other accounts (including yahoo, Outlook, and gmail) all work without flipping out before allowing me to key in a password.

    Good news! By chance I just tried to install Outlook for Android on my Xiaomi 13 phone for the umpteenth time. Surprise! Surprise! My Yahoo Sky email account was accepted and I was able to get the Password screen without an error message appearing. My password was accepted and my Yahoo Sky email account is now working as it did before on my previous Android phones. Ironically I was getting used to the Yahoo Email App but I've now deleted it and am using Outlook which has been my preferred email account for many years. Thanks to Microsoft for finally sorting out the bug.
