I have searched and found a few others with this problem and I could not find any solution that worked for me.
With Microsoft 365 personal can you access the calendar using the Outlook Android app? When I try to login to add my account I receive this error.
An error occurred during authentication. Please try again later.
Tried using the app to contact support, but just get a spinning blue circle saying contacting to support.
Tried clearing cache, deleting Outlook and reinstalling different WiFi and mobile data, changing password and I keep receiving the error.
I can login using other apps and with the browser. Outlook is the only problem.

Yeah I tried that - I tried that, then tried force stop, tried clearing cache, tried uninstall and reinstall - restarting phone - just not working

For the Domain field: leave it blank
For the Username field: put your whole email address

Thanx but I tried that already - tried again the way you explained it - still doesn't work
The solution for me was :
Hold Outlook icon until dialog box pops up
Touch the small i (i) in the top right corner
Select STORAGE
At bottom of changed screen touch CLEAR DATA and then CLEAR CACHE
After doing the above I have not had any further problems
