Anytime, for several months now, I hit reply to an email that has an emoji within it, Outlook for Mac completely freezes up for a long time. I've created multiple support sessions within Outlook trying to resolve this. They don't understand the issue. Anyone here have any insight? I am on a 2019 iMac running Ventura 13.0. Outlook version is 16.66.1 (22101101). This is a business PC with an Exchange email account on it.

Yes same here - have the problem on a MacBook Pro 2017 with Intel i7 - DO not have it on a MacBook Pro 2021 with M1Max.
Same issue. If I try to add an emoji, it freezes for about a minute or more. But ultimately adds the emoji. I now avoid emojis, LOL.
I *might* have just solved this problem. I restarted in safe mode (start with shift key held down), which clears system caches including fonts. Then I immediately restarted in normal mode. The problem appears to be gone. BTW it was bothering me in other Office apps too, but not as severely as Outlook. Was not a problem in other apps. Fingers crossed. There is also a way to clear caches from the command line in Terminal, but that seems scarier. Good luck!

tried it as you recommended, but on my MAC the same issue as before - FREEEEzEE up to 1 Minute. Seems to be a fortune in your configuration?
