Anytime, for several months now, I hit reply to an email that has an emoji within it, Outlook for Mac completely freezes up for a long time. I've created multiple support sessions within Outlook trying to resolve this. They don't understand the issue. Anyone here have any insight? I am on a 2019 iMac running Ventura 13.0. Outlook version is 16.66.1 (22101101). This is a business PC with an Exchange email account on it.

Same problem here, when switching to the old version you are asked why you switch....I reffered to this topic (and now I close with an emoti) :-)
Same problem here. pinwheel of death for about a minute, then comes good and I'm able to continue with composing the message.
Seems to happen more frequently when converting the typed-out smiley face i.e. :-) as opposed to inserting an emoji from the touch bar.
Outlook mac version has been very buggy with other reply window issues as well. Sometimes upon typing first character in the body freezes the entire app indefinitely, requiring a kill/force quit.. Once the app is reloaded, trying to resume composing the message cyclically encounters the same problem. I've had to log on to the OWA to discard the problem draft email to restore stability in the app.
Running outlook for Mac (via the mac app store) version 16.67 (2211300)
This issue has not resolved itself over several app updates.

Same here, it has been happening for at least 6 months now, super annoying that Outlook freezes for 1-2 minutes just because you insert an emoji.

Same problem. I have noticed that there are 2 library folders where the fonts are stored; is it possible that the emoji font is in the wrong one? I haven't tried moving it. Also noticed that my newer MacBook Pro with Apple silicon doesn't have the problem. Seeing the problem on a 2017 IMac.
