Anytime, for several months now, I hit reply to an email that has an emoji within it, Outlook for Mac completely freezes up for a long time. I've created multiple support sessions within Outlook trying to resolve this. They don't understand the issue. Anyone here have any insight? I am on a 2019 iMac running Ventura 13.0. Outlook version is 16.66.1 (22101101). This is a business PC with an Exchange email account on it.

Same Problem here. Intel MacBook Pro. Have this with Ventura and also before. Even if I do not enter a unicode for an emoji but type something like:
:)
Outlook completely freezes for a long time ... does not feel like 2022
The issue persists for me using Legacy Outlook for Mac. I have tried the New Outlook but it's missing key features I depend on at work.
Hopefully they will take note of this Unicode malfunction and fix it! It's like it has to unravel the emoji language each time Outlook is newly opened and it encounters an emoji. Once you get thru one, it seems ok. Unless you restart, then it reoccurs.

I have the same problem however I have discovered it only happens with the New Outlook. In the old outlook I have no problem replying to emails with Emojis but in New Outlook it will stall.
You can toggle between new and old Outlook under the the Outlook tab and clicking on New Outlook or Unclicking it.
I don't have a solution for the emoji problem in New Outlook.
Lets go MS, fix this.
Same issue here. Lag persists for about a minute when using emojis in replies in the Outlook application on Mac operating systems.
