Anytime, for several months now, I hit reply to an email that has an emoji within it, Outlook for Mac completely freezes up for a long time. I've created multiple support sessions within Outlook trying to resolve this. They don't understand the issue. Anyone here have any insight? I am on a 2019 iMac running Ventura 13.0. Outlook version is 16.66.1 (22101101). This is a business PC with an Exchange email account on it.

    Hi,

I have the same problem for month on end now and it is super annoying!!! I have made new user profiles, redownloaded all the office apps a couple oftimes etc. It is not a problem in the web app but only on the Mac App. It also occurs when others have used smiley in their emails and it is super annoying to have my Outlook freeze multiple times a day to then be forced to quit and restart.

Mircosoft please fix this asap - it can't be that an email app freezes over something so stupid.

Is there a timeline as to when this problem will get corrected? It's nearly impossible to use Outlook right now, because so many people use emojis these days in their emails and each time they do it freezes when you try to respond.

Correct! Started 6 months ago, before the launch of Ventura!

It’s not just a Ventura thing, it’s been around for a good while.

I think this is something with Ventura... I recently upgraded and am now having this issue.
