My default save location when saving documents from Word/Excel/Outlook is on network folder via folder redirection for Documents and Desktop. When i switch to new experience interface and try to save email attachment from Outlook it's trying to open the shared folder via port 80 instead SMB file share which cause an pop up display Connecting: Trying to connect to: \fileserver\share...

If I manually change the default save location to point on some local folder and then navigate to the file share via "save as" dialog it browse the shared folders normally and open the network shares normally. Also if i disable the new experience switch and return to the old interface of outlook it works ok. This problem is observed only in the New experience interface for all Office products (word/excel/outlook) when the default save location is pointing to the network share.

Experiencing the same issue after the Outlook 2206 update with many users. Home directories use DFS and the path its stuck connecting on for 30 seconds at a time is already mapped to a network drive.

the users has folder redirection to DFS namespace
every thing was fine until version 2206
on Version 2206 and later ,when we try to save file in excel when we click on "Browse" we get this message
and we need to wait untill if disapear...

Same issue here with Excel and Word. Both hang with changing the default save location to a local server. If you leave Excel or Word open and click on "Browse", the file explorer opens immediately. However, if you close Word or Excel, then click Open>Browse... Connecting to dialog box hangs for 10-30 seconds.
Our company has multiple clients that are all in the same boat. Have confirmed that a roll back to 2205 resolves the issue. Has MS acknowledged this bug yet?
Just to add - I have clients with the exact same issue - resolved after downgrading.
