    Yep getting the same annoying message "We don't support that country code." I'm from Somalia it really sucks coz every time I click on Start Menu i get a notification saying, "Never Lose Access, Add a Recovery phone Number".

    Why the hell do they even bother us if Microsoft doesn't accept our country code?

    Sign in to your Microsoft account. Navigate to https://account.microsoft.com/profile. In the "Account Info" section, click on "Edit Account Info." Select "Add Phone." Choose your country code from the options provided. Enter your phone number. You shouldn't encounter the same error this time.

    So, the solution is simple. Changing the browser, or updating, or things of similar nature won't really matter in this context.

    What the solution is to:

    Step1: Add a new email address your Microsoft account. Don't add the @outlook.com email address.

    Step2: Make the new email address your account's primary alias.

    Step3: Add a new phone number for the account.

    Step4: Change the primary alias back to your previous @outlook.com email address.

    Step5: You can now remove the added email account to your Microsoft account.

    Step6: You're done.

    Hope this help, it has worked for me this way after trying for months.

    I use the gmail email address, not outlook so would this work?
