Outlook calendar not updating in Google calendar

Hi there!

I use Outlook for work and would like to view my work Outlook calendar on my personal Google calendar. I published my Outlook calendar to my Google calendar using the ICS link as instructed. This worked! However, any new or changed events to my Outlook calendar do not refresh on my Google calendar.

Is there a way for changes to my Outlook calendar to reflect on my Google calendar?

    Hi Everybody!

    My Outlook sync with Google Calendar seems to work now.

    It didn't for months but about mid April or so - it started syncing.

    I have deleted and re-added the Outlook ICS link to my Google calendar multiple times with the same result. It will complete an initial sync but will not capture any updates.

    Exactly, and this is the root of the issue reported.

    I'm still using the 3rd party 'Outlook Google Calendar Sync' app which works flawlessly but as others have said, why it requires a 3rd party app is beyond me. Surely Google & M$ should be able to talk to each other!

    Hello to all.

    I have already answered in this thread with a cheap (free) and perfect solution flawlessly working since my post on January 17, 2023.

    If you have "the same problem", may I suggest you don't stop at mentioning it and first try the proposed solution then post here if it works, and simply hit 'Yes' on my post if proved useful for you...?

    Actually your solution is not perfect. I would prefer that Microsoft actually fixes its product. In addition, it is unclear whether your "perfect solution" might provide access to users' private information. So thank you for sharing, but not accepting your solution is not optimal. Instead, it's important that Microsoft hear from many users that this is an issue that should be addressed.

    Thanks Dieter,

    I followed this simplified how-to and I got the sharing working!

    Also color codes do work and it just takes some runs to fill the google calendare with events from Outlook.

    I did set up a refresh every 1 minute and I will check if this will work in the future

    Big thumb down to Google and/or Microsoft for not being able to fix this.

    It is a scandal that a simple Google Script can fix what the two largest IT infrastructures on this planet cannot solve...
