In my Outlook (updated Office 365 ClickToRun with Exchange On-line) there are newer ribbon groups I don't have any use for.
New groups (OneNote, 1-click actions, My templates and Add-In) are in the Home- and Message-ribbons.
I've edited the ribbons but as soon I edit f.i. the Home ribbon, the groups are restored back in the Message ribbon. If I edit the Message ribbon, the groups are again restored in the Home ribbon.
I've tried resetting the ribbons and start all over again and I also made an Office repair but nothing helps. It looks like editing one of the ribbons toggles back the default in the other ribbon.

only my inbox has the Quick Steps in the ribbon, all the others do not but they still get changed.
Quicksteps needs to be removed completely from Outlook using the registry entry for this to work.
Why don't you give that a try for a while and see? It can always be undone.

Are you joking? If you are just going to reset the ribbon every ten minutes, why do you let people customize it?
This is a bug.
in my case the registry hack to remove Quick Steps from the ribbon did NOT prevent otheer ribbon changes.

My Outlook 365 Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2405 Build 16.0.17628.20006) 64-bit / Session ID: 78469F11-6493-47B8-AEDF-77034691DE71, are recently behaving silly. I modify the RIBBON in Outlook main tab, or ribbon for email or for contact to SUIT my purpose. It stays so for a while, 5 min or 2 days, not possible to say as it change when ever the H... it want back to default.
I have EXP{ORTED 3 different ribbions in a location on my Cdrive, 1 for OUtlook main, 1 for Email and 1 for contacts, When even it changes, i IMPORT the exported setting and it works well for as i said, 5 minutes or 2 days. ALL three are same same, changes to default on their OWN.
Please send a FIX for this issus as it is increasingly ANNOYING.
